Stella and I joined ChristianMingle around the same time. Stella was going through a rough time in her life and joined at the urging of her sister (who signed her up). I was also joining because my roommate was joining in hopes of finding someone.

It started with a ‘Smile’ I sent to Stella. We chatted for a while, and eventually exchanged numbers and decided to meet. Our first date was at a Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin Robbins. We shared ice cream and conversation. Following dates ranged from walks along the water, to dinners, kayaking, and lunches after church. I soon realized Stella and I were great together. She is funny and goofy like I am, she is a fantastic cook, and willing to come along in my adventures. She balances me with street smarts and realistic thinking.

I thank ChristianMingle for their in-depth questionnaires and tests for the proper matching. Two years into our dating, things moved quickly. I proposed in November on a cruise in the Bahamas; we visited Stella’s home country of Ghana for her sister’s wedding, and we made plans for our own place. Here we are about to be married and looking forward to the future. I can see God’s hand in this meeting as it was a very fine thread that brought us together. We are grateful that He did, and used ChristianMingle as a tool.
