Both William and I had been married before- I was widowed and William divorced- but we were undeterred that someday we’d find our true love in Christ. William didn’t think it would happen so soon, but I always believed God had the perfect man waiting for me. So I decided to give online dating a try and came across ChristianMingle. William and I first contacted each other sometime in June of last year. We aren’t sure who looked at whose profile first, but we determined that I sent the first smile. After exchanging a few emails we finally spoke on the phone. Our first conversation lasted for at least an hour and I couldn’t believe how well we got along! We eventually felt comfortable enough with each other and decided to meet in person in early August. Eventhough we met only twice during that month, we both instantly knew that our relationship had the makings of something special.

By early September we were dating each other exclusively and on Thanksgiving weekend William sought my brother’s permission to ask for my hand in marriage. To my surprise, a marriage proposal came the following week! And of course I said yes!

We got married in mid-June of this year, not realizing until later that the day of our wedding marked the one year anniversary of our first phone call! We saw that as a true confirmation that we had both found our true love in Christ!
