It’s very likely that Joe and I joined ChristianMingle at approximately the same time and we believe that had it not been for the Lord and for ChristianMingle bringing us together, we never would have met. Joe has a home in Mesa, Arizona while mine is in Oro Valley, Arizona 94.7 miles away. Who would have ever known there was a perfect match in Mesa and Oro Valley Arizona waiting to happen?

Before we knew one another, we both decided independent of anyone to join ChristianMingle to see if we could meet a special someone. After viewing my photo and reading my profile information at ChristianMingle, Joe sent me an email wanting to meet for lunch. I checked out his photo and profile as well. A relationship would have never happened between us without photos and a brief profile.

He drove to Oro Valley the afternoon of December 1, 2012. We met for the first time, briefly getting acquainted. We found we had many things in common which included first and foremost a love for The Lord and an energetic lifestyle. We get along so well doing almost everything together. Also, we both have grown children with families of their own as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren.

We both live busy lives! Joe still works full time as an estimator for a large construction company; I am owner, chef, food stylist, photographer and webmaster for a gourmet food recipe website.

Since we first met, Joe has telephoned me every day, sometimes more than once a day, keeping our relationship alive and interesting. We talk for hours on the phone, getting to know each other even more by sharing with one another about our day. We manage to see one another usually once a week. Though we are in our twilight years, we both feel like giddy teenagers again renewing the love that has been dormant within both of us for too many years due to the loss of spouses and separations.

We both are blessed with good health; we’re avid bowlers, dancers and golfers (I think “golf” is Joe’s middle name). We both have outgoing personalities and like to socialize with friends enjoying dinners, appetizer and cocktail parties, happy hours, movies, and more.

We like the same things, even our food choices and eating habits are the same! We attend church weekly, are both very happy with each other, always laughing and joking together-we both have a wonderful sense of humor. Though Joe is an ex-marine with a Purple Heart, he is sensitive, compassionate and very attentive. Several of my friends tell us, “You make a cute couple!”

He is in the process of selling his home in Mesa. Once this happens, our plans include marriage and continuing our lifestyle together here in Oro Valley.
