On March 3, 2011 I met a wonderful man on ChristianMingle. On July 2, 2011 I became engaged to this wonderful man and now have a ChristianMingle success story!

My fiancé, Tyler, found me on ChristianMingle after just 5 days of being a member! I was a member of ChristianMingle off and on for about two and a half years.

After receiving various smiles and messages from Tyler, I checked out his profile. Some of the qualities that really stood out to me were that he understood the gospel and knew Jesus as his Savior, that he was at seminary preparing to serve God with his life as a pastor, and that he desired to one day serve the Lord as a spiritual leader in his marriage and family.

I was amazed! This was exactly the kind of guy I had been praying, waiting, and looking for!

We started to write each other regular, lengthy messages. The best thing about our messages was how encouraged I was through them! It was so wonderful to get to know someone who loved God as much as Tyler does and to be able to talk about all the things we have learned since putting our trust in Him for salvation. Tyler and I both love to study God’s Word, as well as other Christian literature, to learn as much as we can about God and grow in our faith in Him. We were also both from the same church denomination so we had unity right away in our church beliefs and practices. I have always desired to serve God with my life so it was great to get to know someone preparing for ministry and not afraid to talk to people about his faith in Christ.

After Tyler and I wrote for about a month, we both felt it was time to meet! On April 8, 2011 Tyler flew to Wisconsin from Kentucky, where he was living and going to school.

Our visit went so well. We hit it off right away! My family was around the whole time and really liked him too! I am close to my family, so this was very important to me. Since we had such a good writing experience and then really enjoyed each other’s company so much, we both started to think that we may have met the person God had us to marry! We both started to pray that God would make this clear to us and help us to trust Him.

After he went home, we talked on the phone almost every day. We had wonderful conversations and continued to get to know each other better. We also started to talk about marriage and go through a pre-engagement counseling book. We grew increasingly confident that God was indeed leading us to be married. Before our next visit, God gave us both the assurance that marriage was His plan for us.

I visited him in Kentucky on June 3, 2011. It was another special visit! I really liked all of his friends as well as the church he attends.

On July 1, 2011 Tyler came for another visit to Wisconsin. On July 2, 2011 he asked me to be his wife and I told him I would be honored! We are getting married on January 7, 2012.

I thank God for using ChristianMingle to bring us together! I have waited 24 years to meet my future husband and Tyler has waited 26 years to meet his future wife. My caption on ChristianMingle was “I know my King is coming (referring to Jesus) but I still want to find my prince!” Thanks to ChristianMingle I’ve met my PRINCE!
