In April 2012, about two weeks after my friends pressured me into signing up for ChristianMingle, I met Phill. He contacted me first, which quickly led to many emails. Through the process, we found out we had a lot in common and I noticed how easy he was to talk to. ChristianMingle made it easy for us to communicate often with the notifications coming right to our phones!

After a few days of constantly emailing, he gave me his number, which turned into texting often and learning more about each other. He then asked me out for dinner on a Tuesday night, which I of course said yes to because I knew we had a connection. The night before our original meeting, Phill cancelled our date because of grad school work. I was disappointed, but when he quickly rescheduled for that Saturday, I perked back up.

Our first date was on May 12, 2012. We met at a restaurant for lunch and talked non-stop for about an hour before he had to go back to work. It was amazing because the conversation flowed easily and he was such a gentleman! Leaving the date, I had a smile on my face and knew that he was special. Without ChristianMingle I don’t think I ever would have crossed paths with Phill even though we live so close to one another. Within two weeks from our first date we had many more including one where we watched a Disney movie at his house and sang all of the songs together! We were so instantly comfortable around one other and had a ton of fun in everything we did.

On May 21st, Phill asked me to be his girlfriend and I was very excited to accept. About 3 months later on September 8th, Phill got down on his knee and proposed to me! It was so special because he asked my family to help him by lining up my 1 year old nieces and nephew to spell out “Will you marry” on their t-shirts and the “me” on his own. I was shocked and so thankful he included my family, who mean the world to me! Within 9 months of meeting on ChristianMingle, Phill and I will be walking down the aisle. On January 5, 2013, we will say “I do” and begin the rest of our lives together! We are both so thankful to ChristianMingle for bringing us together and we couldn’t be happier!
