How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!
Kachi and I met on ChristianMingle, of course. He sent me his first message on June 17, 2015. I got it and replied the very next day. At the time, Kachi was living in Dallas and I was living in Pittsburgh. We texted non-stop for a few days after we first met, and then we quickly moved to Skyping every day. We had our first “date” during a long weekend trip I took to Dallas with one of my close friends, Rae, on July 23, 2015. It was important to me that we not cross any of the boundaries we had set for ourselves, so Rae was present on our first date, breakfast at the Waffle House. We weren’t terribly concerned about the atmosphere; we were just happy to be right next to each other.

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
This may sound unbelievable, but I would say about four or five days after we first started talking to each other, I was in my house when the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and said, “He’s your husband”. The funny thing is I wasn’t even thinking about Kachi at the time. It actually scared me and I immediately rejected the thought because shoot, I had only been talking to him for a few days; I didn’t even know him. Well, the days following that experience were a whirlwind. I found myself falling deeply in love with Kachi. I had never been in love before, so this was all so very new and scary, but exciting and lovely.

What advice would you give other ChristianMingle members?
Don’t give up hope!! Pray and seek the Lord’s guidance in every decision and move that you make. Set solid boundaries and be sure to have someone you’re accountable to. Don’t be afraid to move quickly, if it is the Lord’s will. If not, then take your time with someone new! God bless and pray God’s favor on your search.
