Anthony and I met on ChristianMingle on March 21, 2012, which happened to be his birthday! It was an instant connection between us. For four hours, we messaged each other back and forth without realizing the time. When we finally looked at a clock, we still didn’t want our conversation to end!

A couple of days later, we wanted to meet in person but my parents were a little leery about letting me drive an hour and a half to meet him since I lived in Anaheim, CA and he lived in San Marcos, CA. I told Anthony about my parents’ hesitation and he responded by inviting all of us to come down and go bowling with his two older sisters. The night was a blast and our families bonded from the start!

It was tough to start a long-distance relationship because we both had full lives separate from one another. Anthony was in the middle of paramedic school and I was attending Cal State Fullerton. Even though we could not see each other as often as we would have liked, we knew God had a bigger plan for our future and so we decided to date despite the distance. What helped hold our relationship together was having God at the center from the start.

Anthony is 25 and I am 22 and neither of us thought we would actually meet someone online who we could see ourselves potentially marrying. That was disproven when on December 25, 2012, Anthony proposed! We are so excited and are planning on getting married in the fall of 2013.

Both Anthony and I have been blessed greatly by this relationship. Our prayers were answered in ways we could not have imagined. We have never been this happy and we have the full support of our families and friends. Thank you again, ChristianMingle! We would not have met if it wasn’t for your site!
