How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!
Peter and I both met on ChristianMingle in December 2013. After five days of talking on the phone and exchanging stories of the heartache and sorrow that came from the pain, rejection and nightmares of our previous divorces, Peter said he wanted to meet me in person.

When we met it was like a Hallmark movie! Or as Peter likes to call it, like “Casablanca.” We met at a lounge in a hotel nearby. He walked through the doors right where I was sitting, and I was in awe! His face was peaceful, his eyes big and sparkly. He had thick, black spiky hair. With a gorgeous smile, he walked up to me. As I stood up and nervously smiled, I could barely get a “hi” out. He said, “Come here, girl.” He reached behind my neck under my hair and kissed me! You might say this moved awfully fast or that he was really forward. I say, “It was God!” He knew we’d both been through enough with our exes. Yes, love at first sight can happen! And it can be real!

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
When did I know it was true love? When Peter lived in Kitchener, Ontario and I lived in Syracuse,
New York. He had been driving 10 hours every two weeks to see me and be here for me and my three boys. He didn’t come to the door with flowers, chocolate or jewelry, but he didn’t come empty-handed. Instead, he came with groceries, diapers, wipes, laundry detergent, etc. The way Peter has poured himself into me and my boys and stepped up to the plate someone else left on the table is how I knew it was true love. We got engaged in July 2015 and got married on May 28, 2016! Thank you God for restoring what the locusts ate!

What advice would you give other ChristianMingle members?
Believe and trust and love God first! Waiting on God to bring you and your one and only together is worth it! And it will last!
