After being happily married to a pastor for over 41 years, I was widowed. In February 2014, I decided to join ChristianMingle. My plan was to try it for one month and I made a commitment to the Lord that I would not contact any men, but wait for the right one to find me. My month was ending, so on Monday night, March 17th, I got on the site to cancel my membership. That was when I saw a smile from David Daniels.

David, a pastor, also had been happily married for over 41 years when he became widowed in December 2011. On Sunday night, March 16th, he joined ChristianMingle and saw my profile, so he sent me a smile just in time!

I did not cancel my membership. We wrote back and forth on the site until he asked me for my phone number. Being that we are in our 60s, I did something very unconventional; I asked him to call my son first. Dave called him and they met for a two-hour lunch where my son thoroughly interviewed him. Then he gave my phone number to Dave and invited him to dinner at his house to meet me in person. My daughter-in-law cooked the meal and Dave had dinner with me, my children and five grandchildren! It was a great evening, so we decided to continue exploring a relationship.

Because we were older and we both knew exactly what we were looking for in a relationship, everything advanced quickly and smoothly. It was obvious to us and everyone around us that God was in this from the beginning! Dave and I fell in love and he proposed to me five weeks later. We were married July 26, 2014, just four and a half months after we met online.

My son married us. My daughter was my Matron of Honor. My son-in-law walked me down the aisle. Four of my granddaughters were flower girls. We had a beautiful wedding with 100 people in attendance!

God answered our prayers through ChristianMingle. Love really can be better the second time around!
