If you’re looking to expand your collection of Christian music, check out the latest releases from these hit artists.

TobyMac

A founding member of the hit group DC Talk, TobyMac has also made quite a name for himself as a solo artist. He’s been recording and performing on his own since 2001, and his work features a musical style that’s hard to define. Rather, his music draws from a variety of influences, and the result is a sound that’s uniquely his. TobyMac’s latest award-winning album, Eye On It, came out in 2012.

Phil Wickham

Singer-songwriter Phil Wickham has been leading worship since age 13; only now, at nearly-30, he’s doing it for a much larger audience. Wickham’s hit worship songs have included, “This Is Amazing Grace,” “Cannons” and “At Your Name (Yahweh, Yahweh).” His most recent album release, The Ascension, peaked at the No. 2 spot on Billboard’s Christian Albums chart.

Chris Tomlin

Even if you’re not familiar with his name, there’s a good chance that you’ve heard “Forever,” “How Great Is Our God,” “Indescribable” or another one of Chris Tomlin‘s hit worship songs. He’s released 12 of his own albums and has also been featured on 16 Passion Worship Band albums. As a testament to Tomlin’s popularity, his 2013 album, Burning Lights, which features the song “Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies), debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Jamie Grace

Jamie Grace made her debut in 2011 with the song “Hold Me,” which featured hit artist TobyMac. The song earned her a Grammy nomination. She was also the 2012 recipient of the Dove Awards’ New Artist of the Year title. Her sound, which is all her own, has been described as upbeat, funky, happy and inspiring. Jamie Grace is currently working on a follow-up album to her first release, One Song at a Time.

Third Day

Third Day has been entertaining fans with their songs since the mid-90s. Today, they’re one of Christian music’s top groups. The band has won countless Grammys and Dove Awards and was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2009. Their 11th studio album, Miracle, featuring the hit song “I Need a Miracle,” came out in 2012.

Crystal Lewis

In 2011, Crystal Lewis released Plain and Simple, her first regular album a number of years. She had put out a children’s album in 2006 and a holiday one in 2010, but it had been since 2005 that she’d released a standard studio recording. Lewis is certainly no stranger to the Christian music industry, however. In fact, she’s been recording since the mid-80s, and in 2013, she released a greatest hits compilation, Twenty Five, to celebrate 25 years of solo work.

Brandon Heath

Three-time Grammy nominee Brandon Heath happily admits that he’s a songwriter at heart. His storytelling style of songwriting paired with his vocal skills have made him one of today’s top Christian artists. Heath is particularly well-known for his songs “Give Me Your Eyes” and “I’m Not Who I Was.” His fourth studio album, Blue Mountain, released in 2012, was followed with the 2013 holiday album, Christmas Is Here.

Francesca Battistelli

After being propelled to fame with the 2008 single “I’m Letting Go,” Francesca Battistelli won the Dove Awards Female Artist of the Year title in 2010 and followed it up in 2011 with another Female Artist of the Year win, as well as an Artist of the Year award. Fans appreciate her strong voice and upbeat style. Battistelli’s 2011 album, Hundred More Years, was re-released in 2013 as a Deluxe Edition with additional tracks.
