Satan is not omnipresent. He depends upon his demonic army of fallen angels to carry out his attacks upon God’s Kingdom. The Bible teaches us that all things in heaven and on earth were created by God.

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. —Colossians 1:16, NKJV

Demons have the following shared attributes with the angels in heaven.

They are spirits (Luke 10:17, 20), who can speak (Mark 5:9), believe (James 2:19), exercise their wills (Luke 8:31), demonstrate intelligence (Mark 1:24), and have emotions (James 2:19). Fallen angels recognize Jesus (Acts 19:15), have supernatural strength (Acts 19:16), have supernatural presence (Daniel 9:21-23) and are eternal (Matt. 25:41).

Christ has been given authority over everything in heaven and on earth.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” —Matthew 28:18, NIV

As Christ-followers, we are indwelled and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

But every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, heard is coming and even now is already in the world. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. —1 John 4:3-4, NIV

Finally, we have been given Divine weapons with which to fight!

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.  —2 Corinthians 10:4, NIV

Recognizing your enemy and claiming Christ’s victory is essential for spiritual maturity.  Are you ready to do battle and win?
