On August 6, 2012, God changed my life forever! At 49 years of age, I never thought I would ever find my soul mate! I was asked to give ChristianMingle a try by a friend just to see what kind of matches I would get. That was on Saturday, August 3rd.
After putting my profile together, I became a member on the 4th. The next night, a gentleman contacted me! At first, I denied him because I was too afraid but something in my heart was telling me to read his profile and learn more about him. His name is Jimmy. Our profiles said we were 100% matched so when he emailed me, I decided to leave it in God’s hands and answer him. I felt like a girl in high school again. We talked for hours all day on Monday and I knew this was God working. We planned a lunch together in my hometown and Jimmy drove an hour and a half to meet me. I have to admit, I had never been so nervous in my life! I remember standing in front of my friend’s restaurant with butterflies in my stomach!
When he drove up and got out of the car, I looked up at God and thanked him. What was supposed to be just lunch turned into dinner and a movie as well. I now believe in love at first sight! We both went home and took our names off the site because we knew this was it! I have NEVER felt the love I feel now. When we shared our stories and our beliefs in God, I knew I would be spending the rest of my life with this man! It is so wonderful to have a partner that I can travel through life with both spiritually and emotionally. We have not been apart since!
On March 23, 2013, only 7 months later, we got married! Seeing my future husband standing there in his Navy Uniform with tears coming down his face was a vision I will have in my heart forever. Even though my dad was looking down from heaven at us, I knew he was proud! My life has been so blessed and is now complete! I cannot thank ChristianMingle enough for helping me find the man God chose for me. I will be forever grateful. We are now moving to Tennessee to start our lives together. We pray that we live to be 100 years old so we can celebrate 50 years together!
