How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!
Mike and I both lost our spouses suddenly after many years of marriage. As it turned out, we both joined ChristianMingle about the same time and were only on there for a couple of weeks when he sent me a message. After exchanging several e-mails, we met at a restaurant and it was love at first sight! I had about lost hope of finding anyone else, much less one that was a Christian who loves the Lord, my church, my children, my grandchildren – and me, of course! I had been married for 27 years and a widow for eight years.

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
I knew it was true love pretty much from the start. However, when he went to church with me and fell in love with the people there and they him, I knew he was the one. As I said, my children and grandchildren loved him, and that was one of the “must haves” for me to move on and marry again. He proposed to me at The Biltmore Mansion right when they took our picture as they do for everyone who goes through. It was so romantic and we were able to share it with two of our best friends.

What advice would you give other ChristianMingle members?
My advice would be to know that ChristianMingle is a very reputable website, but do your homework on those that contact you. We feel we wouldn’t have met if we hadn’t been on this website because we both wanted someone who was a Christian and who faithfully went to church and loved the Lord.
