I joined ChristianMingle in 2012 at the suggestion of my roommates, but I never expected to find “the one.” In fact, after a few months of not making any meaningful connections, I was preparing to close my account. I decided to give it one last ditch effort, and did a search one more time; I ended up coming across a familiar face! I recognized Jerrod from our church’s young adult bible study class and immediately reached out, just to say hello. We began spending time together over the next few months and it quickly became clear that this relationship was much different than any other. Luckily, Jerrod felt the same way. After almost a year of dating seriously, he surprised me on March 7, 2014, by gathering our close friends at one of my favorite restaurants and asking me to marry him! We’re now planning a wonderful wedding for the spring of next year!

As we plan our life together, we are careful to keep our faith at the center of all that we do and as a result, we grow closer each day. It’s not a perfect relationship, but we are definitely made for one another! I am so excited for our future together! I am thankful to God for bringing me my other half, and also to ChristianMingle for making it so easy!

Our advice to other people is to not go into this expecting to find a love connection; that just leads to disappointment and frustration! Just be open to the possibility and don’t rush anything or anyone!
