Todd and I began communicating on ChristianMingle on March 9, 2014 and met each other for the first time on April 11th. Our conversation was easy, and I knew I was interested when he made me laugh only a few minutes into the date! (He also told me to mention that I thought he was really good looking.) Besides sharing a strong faith, we also share a love of the outdoors, sports, and a good hole-in-the-wall restaurant – so dating was always an adventure.

In July, we visited some friends in Colorado.  While there, Todd took me to the Broadmoor and proposed on a bridge at dusk in the shadow of the mountains.  My ring wasn’t ready yet, so he proposed with a ring that belonged to my grandmother.

We were married on November 22, 2014 at my parent’s ranch in Buffalo, Texas.  Despite torrential rainstorms that forced our outdoor wedding into the barn, our day was magical.  Sweet friends and family (along with twinkle lights and candles) can quickly transform a barn into a beautiful space.  Much like our wedding, our journeys to each other didn’t look the way either of us had planned.  But, in the end, we realize that the broken and bumpy road led us right into a fairytale that could only be written by God.  We are beyond blessed!
