After many “love storms” and failed relationships, I had given up on love.  One day I kept seeing ChristianMingle commercials and heard God telling me to give it a chance.  Doubting that God wanted me to find love on the internet, I put it off.  The more I pushed against the idea, the more I saw the commercials.  After some strong prayer, I created an account because my grandmother told me that if I prayed for my husband, God would exceed my expectations.  Little did I know that thirty miles away, Devin was also obeying God’s prompting.

I was on the site for a couple of months, and I searched and searched for profiles in a fifty mile radius.  I met a few men, but not the one that God made for me.  Soon God showed me Proverbs 18:22, “He who findth his wife, findth a good thing in the Lord.”  Therefore, I vowed not to login again, until my husband found me.  On April 24th, I received an email saying that Devin had sent me a smile.  I got excited and rushed at the opportunity to return the kindness.  Once the smile was sent, I quickly looked up Devin’s profile and fell in love instantly.  He was a man that was handsome and had a deep relationship with our Heavenly Father.  The next day, he sent me a message and we exchanged numbers.

Over the next few months, we grew to learn that God had a purpose for us.  We both had experienced many, and I mean many, of the same trials and tribulations that lead us to ChristianMingle.  I never felt like any man could understand me completely, and put God first, until I met Devin.  Shockingly, we were only thirty miles apart, yet never crossed paths, until God was ready.

We have been truly blessed since we’ve been in each other’s lives.  Devin is now teaching his church’s bible study class, and we are both working in the fields that we received our degrees in. 

One year and four months after meeting, Devin proposed to me on my birthday.  I said YES!!  We are planning our wedding as we speak, and it’s scheduled to take place in June of this year.  We couldn’t be happier.  We are so thankful for ChristianMingle for bringing us together, and blessed to know that God heard our prayers.
