I joined ChristianMingle in February 2012, as did my now wife, Tiffany, to find other likeminded Christians. I never believed in online dating and neither did Tiffany.  However, for some strange reason, we both found ourselves signing up and beginning our search for that special someone.  We both talked to a few people, before we began to converse with each other.  I had seen Tiffany’s profile several times and skipped over it simply because she was a bit younger than what I was, and I was looking for someone closer to my age.  I was also living in Virginia and Tiffany lived in Florida. After about a month, Tiffany messaged me and we emailed back and forth for a few days.  We soon began to text each other and then started video chatting. We found that we had a lot in common.  We shared similar life experiences, faith, and beliefs. We talked a lot about our backgrounds, what we wanted in a solid relationship, and that we would no longer be in relationships that did not put God in the center.

On June 28, 2012, I flew Tiffany up to Virginia to spend the weekend with my family and meet my friends. It was sometime during that visit that I told Tiffany I loved her.  I remember Tiffany crying because she was so happy.  In the beginning of August, both of our families got together to meet. Everything went well, and by the end of the month I had moved down to Gainesville, Florida to be closer to Tiffany as she finished her last year of college. The first two months were tough because we were traveling back and forth to her home in Dunedin, since her grandmother was not doing well, but it also gave us a chance to stand by one another in a trying time of need.  It made our bond stronger.

In January of 2013 I asked Tiffany to marry me and her, of course, said yes! We decided that we wanted to have our wedding before she graduated.  We moved into our first house in Orlando and on March 24, 2013, we had our wedding before all of our family and friends. In May, Tiffany walked across the stage at the University of Florida to receive her diploma will our baby growing inside of her. It was a proud moment for us. On August 12, 2013, we welcomed our daughter, Ariana Lynn into the world.  We have enjoyed every minute of being parents, best friends, and a family.  God had it planned that we would meet through ChristianMingle!

When we started this quest together as a couple we knew that God needed be the focal point, otherwise we would not make it. We spend evenings in devotion and prayer.  We work as a team and encourage each other to be better than the day before. I have seen my friends fail in their relationships simply because they do not have their priorities in order. God will always be the head of our relationship.
