If you want to make the skin of a bride-to-be crawl, tell her to honour, submit, and respect her future husband. Many write those words out of their wedding vows altogether. But I didn’t. I am a big believer in honouring my husband. In fact, I go further to say it is the number one way to be irresistible to him.

One of my all time favourite passages in the Bible is Psalm 45. It celebrates the love and honour between a husband and wife. Verse eleven says:

For your royal husband delights in your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.

Submission, respect, and honour for your husband seem old fashioned according to today’s standards. Psalm 45 challenges that paradigm. The psalmist couples honour with beauty. According to Psalm 45, honour makes a woman beautiful. The most ravishing woman on the planet is the woman who honours her husband.

Still not convinced that honour for your husband is the way to go? Let’s couple Psalm 45 with Philippians 4:8.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

When a stunning woman walks past, where do I want my husband’s thoughts? On me. Not her. While beholding a glamazon on the big screen? Me. When other men discuss and joke about a sexy woman? He thinks of me. At random times throughout the day? Me, me, and me. As he thinks of things that are honourable, first thing to come to mind is, you guessed it, me!

If I honour my husband he will be captivated by my gorgeousness. He will think of me more than any seductress before his eyes. That’s the way it works. If you don’t want your man’s eyes to wander, give him honour.

Why declare honour and respect to my husband as long as we both shall live? Because honour makes me irresistible. Each and every day I am beautiful in his eyes.

If you want to be the most enticing woman he ever laid eyes on, demonstrate honour. It is the number one way to be alluring. You better believe he will keep coming back for more.
