Jose and I met on ChristianMingle on April 11, 2013. Jose had sent me an email months earlier; however, I had not yet subscribed, so I couldn’t read it. When I finally subscribed, I saw that he sent me his contact information, so I went ahead and called him.

It is rare to find someone of value and worth in this small town of Okeechobee, so we were both gung ho! The day after we talked on the phone, he came to my place of work, and gave me a card and stuffed animal. I remember the dates because we talked on my father’s birthday and I met his mother on my parent’s anniversary, the next day. I stopped by to say a quick hello. She told him I was the one and that I had a good spirit about me. We continued to date and get to know one another. It all went fairly quickly. We went to the mall and he bought me a ring. A week later, he proposed. We had been together exactly one month. I moved in a month later, and we began planning our wedding.

 We got married on November 23, 2013. We both believe that God brought us together and look forward to what He has in store for us. He is Puerto Rican and I am not, so we are getting used to cultural and background differences; but we are in to win it! We believe we were brought together and plan to stay that way.
