How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!
I just want to thank ChristianMingle for being a catalyst for our successful relationship. About 10 months ago, my fiancé and I met online and started corresponding. After just a few days, his subscription was about to end (quite conveniently) so we continued via email, which turned into late-night phone calls and Skyping. Soon, our anticipation to see each other face to face was at its peak.

We finally met in person two and a half months later. At that time, we lived 10 hours apart, but in his own words, “It was all worth it.” During our first visit, he asked to court me and, with my folks’ blessing, we began a new relationship. Over the next four months, my family moved out of state even further away, about 17 hours from him. It was hard to imagine how we could make it work, but Abba was quite mindful. We have been using Allegiant Airlines to see each other making our long relationship much more bearable and affordable.

Our relationship is so meaningful because not only does a long distance relationship teach you patience, but also to communicate. Communication is the very foundation of relationships. In most relationships today, the focus is more on the physical and less on spiritual and physiological things, but when you can talk about everything and are transparent with one another, a more meaningful relationship is built. Our desire from the very start was that Yahweh would be at the center at all times, and that he would guide our paths, direct our steps and guard our ways. We are so very blessed to have found each other on a Christian dating site, odd as it may sound. We are both believers in Yeshua the Messiah and believe in the entire word of Yah. Anything is possible. Five months later, he asked me to be his wife!

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
How did I know it was him? Honestly when I saw his photo, I couldn’t help but think he was totally adorable, which was rare for me to be attracted to just anyone. As we shared our hearts with one another, I knew this was the kind of man I had always prayed for, and when we met, his character and respect for me made me wonder how such an amazing man could come into my life. It was genuine and real and each step of the way, we have both had abundant shalom in our hearts. This has lead us to an eternal covenant with one another.

What advice would you give other ChristianMingle members?
Although online dating wasn’t for me, I do encourage my friends to try it, you don’t lose anything to try. Also try not to expect anything, allow the Father to work in his timing. He will write an amazing love story just like he has for us. The Father uses many avenues to bring a perfect match together. I am blessed beyond words, and I continue to look back and thank his hands that were on us the whole time.
