Little did I know it, but the love of my life was living less than thirty minutes away and worked at the store where I frequently shopped. In early April, my mom and I were talking about my profile on ChristianMingle. She asked me if I had been on there at all, and I said that I hadn’t. I didn’t think that it was going to work for me. Not five minutes later, I received an email from the site saying that I had received a smile. Of course I checked it out. When I saw Thomas’ profile all I could do was smile, and the fun began! After only a couple of weeks of emailing back and forth we decided to meet for coffee after work. Both of us felt comfortable instantly (which we would discuss later) and we talked for three hours. I went home smiling from ear-to-ear. We also set a time to meet a couple of days later for our first “official” date.

When we met for our date it went so well that neither of us could believe how wonderful it was. Over dinner we talked about how we were feeling and we both felt the same way. By the end of the evening we decided we were “officially dating.” Our relationship grew quickly in the first month, and on May 25th (one month and a day after our first meeting) Tom asked me the question I had been waiting to hear my whole life. God’s plan is so amazing and I cannot imagine living one day without the love of my life. I can’t wait to start the next phase of our journey, which is coming sooner than I could ever have dreamed of.
