We met on ChristianMingle on January 7, 2013, and I fell in love with Sarah’s profile photo. She was so beautiful. We talked every night after that, and quickly began praying with one another and encouraging each other in our walk with Christ. As the anticipation built up, we became so curious about meeting one another. We decided to meet face-to-face, which meant I drove from Ohio to New York to meet her.

We met for the first time on February 15, 2013. That began our dating relationship. From then on, we would drive back and forth to see each other a couple weekends each month. I decided to move to New York to better pursue Sarah and left everything behind in Ohio, so that I could finally just be with her on a regular basis. Our relationship began to grow even more. We were no longer 250 miles apart, but only 10 miles away from one another.

Finally, on December 13, 2013, I took Sarah to the very first place we walked to during the first weekend I came to visit her, and I asked her to marry me. It was a dock over-looking the Niagara River. It was so beautiful with white lights all the way down the pavement and around the dock with a table and chairs set up in the middle, and a white lantern giving us just enough light to see each other’s smile. We sipped our hot chocolate and I got down on one knee and proposed. She said YES! It was so amazing. Our wedding date is March 22, 2014. I am very excited and ready to spend the rest of my life with my future wife.

I pray and hope this story is encouragement for many others out there. The only advice I have is to take it slow. ChristianMingle is a great opportunity to meet someone online and just talk.
