Dan “Smiled” at me – that started something beautiful.

We both had been on ChristianMingle for a couple months, with nothing happening that spoke to us. We talked on the phone for the first time in November of 2012. I heard his hearty laugh when I said I was a Vikings fan and I thought – this could be fun. He then said he was Packers fan, and in spite of that we decided maybe it wouldn’t be a deal breaker. On December 9, 2012, in the middle of a blizzard, we had our first date and have been together since that day. On February 7, 2015 we were married with 250 of our Irish families and friends joining us in our wonderful winter celebration. It seemed fitting to marry in the winter since we met in a blizzard.

I signed up for ChristianMingle hoping and praying that I could meet someone nice to spend some time with. Beyond all my dreams and expectations I found the man I would marry. It’s true what they say – love finds you when you least expect it. We have the love and support of our families, which is so important to both of us.

Because God is at the center of our relationship, the strength that holds us is limitless. We believe we were meant to find each other at this point in our lives. Both of us, through life’s hurdles, held on for something we could base the rest of our lives on.
