Where our story began…

Both Richard and I are in our 40’s.  We were both divorced, and I am a single mother of a 14-year-old and an 18-year-old.  Richard has no children of his own.  We both have strong Christian beliefs, and had submitted ourselves to wait to find our mates when God saw fit for us to find each other.

I lived in South Florida, and Richard lived in Orlando, three and a half hours away.  When I joined ChristianMingle, I searched the Orlando area because I was moving the following year to be closer to my daughter who had started college.

What is funny, if you read Richard’s criteria, I didn’t meet many of the requirements.  First, I was in my 40’s.  I believe his age range was up to the early 30’s, and my height was off, but we did match where it mattered the most…our interests, our beliefs, and our goals.

We started emailing, and it went from there.  We emailed from March 2013, and went our first date in May 2013.  We have been together ever since.  Regardless of the distance, we made it work.  We were truly meant for one another.  Through God and your website, this was the avenue to finally meet each other. 

Richard is an amazing step-father to my children, who are fatherless.  So as a single mom, I wanted not only a Godly man for my children, but a loving and caring one also.  I have been truly blessed with a wonderful, now husband.
