How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!
I had been widowed for a couple of years, and was just curious about what I would find on ChristianMingle. Maybe someone to chat with, have dinner with, etc. The last month of my subscription, I saw a man who lived 311 miles away. We kept going back and forth looking at each other’s profiles without ever saying a word to each other. I was impressed by his picture and his bio. I finally bit the bullet and thought I might as well make the first move. Well, we began chatting on January 17, 2016 and have been “chatting” ever since. Tommy was in his last week of his subscription and ready to call it quits. In February, he came from Georgia to Florida to meet me. We spent a wonderful weekend getting to know each other, and it’s been a wonderful love story from that moment on.

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
I believe, and I think Tommy would say, that we both knew we had something special from the start. We truly believe that God has brought us together and blessed us with each other!

What advice would you give other ChristianMingle members?
Be yourself, and don’t give up! If Tommy had given up when he wanted to, we would have never met. I have to admit that I checked him out pretty thoroughly before meeting him, and I would recommend everyone do so, but I am so glad he didn’t give up! We began chatting in January, met in February, were engaged in March, and in June we married! I am so grateful to ChristianMingle for giving me the opportunity to meet someone I would have never otherwise met.
