David and I met on ChristianMingle on Nov 2, 2011 but amazingly, we had been attending the same church without realizing it! Because we went to church during different service times, we had missed each other until meeting on the website. Now, we realized that God had used ChristianMingle as a tool to orchestrate our meeting and we are so thankful!

It began with David sending me a message. After viewing his profile, I responded immediately! Through many emails and eventually exchanging phone numbers, we learned that we had grown up only a town away from one other and that we shared mutual friends. Through communicating on ChristianMingle we were able to share our lives with one another in a way where we could be both honest and forthcoming, which led to meeting in person.

On December 5, 2011, David and I had our first date which included dinner, an arcade, and a park full of Christmas lights! We talked the entire time just as we had through the ChristianMingle email. It was as if we had known each other all along and we were so comfortable after just a few minutes!

Eventually, I met David’s three children and he met my two grown children. We soon realized that this blended family was meant to be and on March 5, 2012, David proposed with his grandmother’s wedding ring! On May 5, 2012, David and I were married at my parents’ church where our brother-in-law officiated his first wedding. Also, our children were in the wedding party and we honeymooned in Niagara Falls so it truly was a family affair!

It’s amazing to not only have a spouse but also an entire family who shares the same love for the Lord. We are so blessed because now David and I recently purchased a home together, which is full of love!
