“God Had A Plan”

I was very skeptical of the whole “online dating” thing at first. My mom was actually the one who made my profile on ChristianMingle, and then told me about it later that day. Obviously I went on and changed some things. A couple months went by and no one really caught my eye. On Wednesday, April 10, 2013, I looked in my inbox and saw I had a “Smile.” When I opened the message it was from a “Chadedward123” from Oklahoma. Seeing how he was so far away I wasn’t very interested. After a few messages he wasn’t heard from again, or so I thought.

On Thursday, September 26, 2013, I got a message via Facebook from a guy named Chad. The name sounded familiar, but I couldn’t remember who he was or how I knew him. I soon found out though that he was “Chadedward123” from ChristianMingle!

We started talking/texting for a while and I found out the he had moved to Tampa, FL. Surprisingly enough my family and I had just booked our Christmas vacation to Clearwater, FL, which was only 25 minutes from where he lived! So, we continued talking and December soon came. We arrived at our condo in Clearwater the night of the 22nd and Chad came over, which was the first time we met.

Our relationship just continued to grow. He came to Ohio twice to visit me then it was my turn to go visit him in Florida. For my birthday (March 25th), I flew down to Florida on the 10th and planned on staying till the 26th. On March 26th I was driven to this little spot on the beach. When we pulled up there was an aisle of lit candles and rose pedals with Chad at the end. Obviously you can guess what happened next. He proposed! I couldn’t have found a better, more perfect man. So, of course, I said yes.

Our wedding was on July 25, 2014….Yes THIS year! We held it in Fort Myers Beach, FL since Florida was where we met. I am very excited to be starting my life with this amazing man who I can now call my husband!

Some advice for all you skeptics out there: you’ll never know unless you give it a try. You might end up meeting your soul mate like I did. Pray about it and leave it all in God’s hands and you’ll be happy about the outcome!
