Margo and I met on ChristianMingle in 2009. She stated in her profile that she was “sold out to Jesus,” and that immediately caught my attention. After communicating for some time, we decided to meet in person. When we finally met each other for the first time, we both knew that it was God who truly brought us together. We developed such a strong connection that we got married soon thereafter! The Lord has truly blessed our marriage and we couldn’t be more thankful.

On the first anniversary of our very first date, I wrote Margo the following lyrics to the tune “Strangers in the Night”:

This time last year on Christian Mingle
You came in my life and made me tingle
As I spoke with you on the telephone
Something in your voice was so inviting
Your Love for the Lord was so exciting
Something in my heart told me I must meet you
We planned our first date night
At the Olive Garden you were such a beautiful sight
Until the moment when we said our first hello
Little did we know that our love was just days away, a warm embracing kiss away
Ever since that night, we’ve been together
Lovers at first sight in love forever
It turned out so right!
