As we walk with the Lord, live His Word and grow in our faith, God wants us to also reach out and teach others about the Word. Though He wants His children to study the Bible, He also wants us to share it, and to do so with as many people as possible.

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. —Mark 16:15, KJV

For most people, the Bible is not easily understood. Thus, it requires studying. A great way to help yourself is by helping others. One way to do this is to discuss the Bible and the many Scriptures it holds with others.

By talking about the Word, we not only gain a better understanding of it, but we also exalt God in the process. We glorify Him when we speak about Him and read His Word aloud. Through discussion we can also come to understand verses we may not have grasped otherwise.

A Bible study group is a great way to lift others up and join together for the sole purpose of growing closer to God. What better way to reach out to your immediate community than to gather a bunch of believers and read the Word? This is also a great way to gain friends, and friends who are believers as well.

And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. Acts 10:42, KJV

God is amazing; He is the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega. We are to stand in awe of Him and lovingly fear Him. The word “fear” is often misunderstood when it comes to God. Some people don’t understand why we would want to fear the Lord since He is supposed to be all-loving. But fearing the Lord has to do with our love for Him and His love for us, not His lack of love for us.

Fearing God is to be in awe of Him and all that He can do. He called the world into existence, what is more awe inspiring than that?

God works in our lives, making crooked paths straight and turning bad things against us into good things for us. We stand before Him humble because He is so powerful and yet we love Him because He is our protector. We fear what He may do in our lives when we do not follow His word because we know that He loves us too much to just let us go. God wants us to be the best we can be and sometimes His lessons are uncomfortable.

Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you. 1 Samuel 12:24, KJV

Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. —Psalms 33:8, KJV

God rewards those who read, study and speak the Word. While you are leading a Bible group, remember that not only are you spreading the Word of God, learning and teaching how to walk in faith, but you are also reaping the benefits of sowing good seed. As you preach to others about the goodness of God and the fulfilling life you can have when you walk with Him, do not be surprised when He moves blessings into your life.

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. 2 Timothy 4:2, KJV
