I first contacted Geoff on ChristianMingle on November 27, 2013.  We corresponded back and forth through email for a few days and then began to text each other for a few weeks.  We met for the first time on December 20, 2013.  We decided to keep things casual, so we met for coffee and grabbed a bite to eat. We got along so well that we ended up chatting for nearly six hours before calling it a night!

Since it was the holidays, Geoff went out of town to visit his family and I was quite busy as well.  We could not wait to see each other again!  We agreed that as long as he was back before New Years that we would spend New Year’s Eve together.  Fortunately, he got back the day before.  We planned for a fun filled New Year’s Eve, which included seeing the movie, Anchorman 2, dinner in downtown Sacramento, and watching the fireworks downtown. We had our first kiss as the clock struck midnight.  It was definitely the greatest way to ring in the New Year.  We were officially a couple from that moment on.  After that, we couldn’t spend a minute apart and saw each other every day.

We knew from the very beginning that this was what God had planned for both of us and that God had really blessed us by allowing us to meet. Geoff is the kindest, sweetest, most positive person I have ever met. I knew from the moment I met him that this was my “prince charming” I had always dreamed of.  He treats me like a princess and is a true man of God.  Geoff felt the same way about me in every aspect.  After a few weeks of being a couple we said, “I love you.”  The next day, Geoff had to go to Florida for a month for work, and we missed each other more than we thought was possible.

Because of the nature of Geoff’s career we knew that he was going to be moving away from Sacramento when he got back from Florida.  We have both been in long distance relationships before and knew that it would be very difficult for us to live apart.  We decided that I would move wherever Geoff moved.  Without a doubt, we both knew we wanted to marry each other and live God honoring lives.  We also knew that we could not afford our dream wedding. So, we decided to get married at a court house.  While this was not necessarily our dream, we wanted to honor God above all else. On March 11, 2014, we got married at the San Francisco court house.  We had our close family and friends attend and my dad officiated the wedding, which was very special for us.

We now currently reside in Hayward, California and could not be happier!  We never would have would dreamed that we would meet and get married after knowing each other for just a couple of months! We are so deep in love and feel like we have known each other our entire lives.  We are each other’s best friend and look forward to leading a God honoring life together.  In the future, we plan to have our dream wedding and cannot wait to see what God has in store for us!
