We met on ChristianMingle.com on October of last year. Neither of us ever expected to meet our spouse online, but the Lord works in unexpected ways! I remember how I came across Ryan’s profile and was immediately intrigued. He sounded like the man I had been waiting for and I couldn’t wait to get to know him better. Coincidentally, he had seen my profile as well and decided to send me a message. I was so excited when I got his message! We ended up exchanging various emails throughout that week and got to learn a lot about each other’s beliefs and views.

We eventually decided to speak over the phone, and when he called me for the first time I was so nervous! I still recall how his voice sounded-It was calm and he didn’t seem nervous at all! After multiple phone calls, and Skype sessions we finally decided to meet in person.

When he came to visit me for the first time, I was so anxious that I couldn’t stop shaking! We, along with my parents and his mom, eventually went out to dinner that day so that our families could get to know each other better.

The next morning Ryan and I went out for a run with my parents to the Governor’s mansion, and unbeknownst to me at the time, my dad had given Ryan permission to court me. When he told me the good news I hugged him and knew at that moment he would be my future husband.

We knew our relationship had the makings of something special and that we were meant for each other, we were simply waiting for the right timing to get married. Eventhough I knew we were destined to spend the rest of our lives together, the way Ryan proposed still caught me completely off guard!

Ryan had invited me to the Governor’s mansion after church on a Sunday. We took the long way around to the pond where Ryan eventually proposed. We sat down on a bench across the beautiful pond, and he told me how much he loved me. He then got down on one knee and pulled out a beautiful diamond ring! I was so surprised that I couldn’t think for a moment, but once the shock subsided, of course I said yes! It was the happiest moment of my life!

We are so blessed to have found each other and cannot wait to get married this September! We are looking forward to strengthening our walk with the Lord together and to living happily ever after!
