I had pretty much limited my search to the Midwest, those states surrounding Minnesota, while Jeremy was only looking in the state of Florida.  Randomly, I would take a peak nationally.  On Friday, April 12th, 2013, I decided to expand my options and just see who was out there.  I ran across Jeremy’s profile, but did not initiate conversation because I didn’t think there was any chance in anything coming from it.

However, Jeremy logged on that same night and noticed I had viewed his profile.  When he noticed I also, like him, had strong interests in fitness and nutrition, and regularly attended a non-denominational church, he decided there was nothing to lose by reaching out and initiating conversation; he says he NEVER thought any relationship would blossom from it.

That first message on ChristianMingle lead to nightly phone conversations, often lasting two plus hours.  We seemed to agree on most everything and conversation flowed easily.  Things moved along quite quickly over the phone, so we decided to meet in person.  After one trip made by me to Florida in mid-May, and two trips made by Jeremy to Minnesota in June, he proposed on July 24th, the night I landed in Florida for my second visit down.

We were married April 12th, 2014, a year to the day I saw his profile and he saw mine on ChristianMingle.  We honeymooned in Jamaica and are currently residing in the Twin Cities.
