My fiancé and I met on ChristianMingle.com in July 2012. We joined ChristianMingle because we both kept seeing commercials, and hearing about ChristianMingle on the radio, when prior to this, we had never heard of the site. We saw this as a sign from God because we were both praying to find the love of our lives. When there was a promotion in July, we both signed up for six months. We both received a lot of hits from people, but it seemed like they weren’t a good match for us. I found my fiancé in the first month. I sent him a “Smile” and an email saying I would like to get to know him more. After emailing for a few weeks we exchanged numbers and started talking on the phone. This led to him wanting to meet in person.
On July 19, 2012 we went on our first date. We went to Olive Garden and felt an instant spark. It was like we were meant to be together. This was our first time ever joining a dating site so we weren’t sure how it was going to be (awkward, weird, not have anything in common, etc.), but, oddly enough, it was as if we had known each other forever. We had really good conversations and knew we were meant to be together. That night I got a request on Facebook that he wanted to be my boyfriend. I found it cute and funny because he didn’t ask me in person, he just claimed me. I was okay with that though because I wanted to be his girlfriend as well. We dated for a year and a half with no arguments and fell more and more in love.
On January 11, 2014 we went to Disneyland and the date ended in a proposal. I was so shocked and happy. My dreams had finally come true. I couldn’t wait to officially call him my husband. I am so thankful to ChristianMingle, and to the Lord, for sending me this amazing man of God. He makes me the happiest I have ever been. Our wedding date was on October 4, 2014. As we planned for our wedding, we thought it would be appropriate to thank the site that made it all possible, and show our gratitude for making a site that allows people to get to know other Christians that are interested in dating and finding a lifelong mate who loves the Lord.
My prayer is that people will continue to find the love of their lives on ChristianMingle, and that the Lord continues to use this site as a way to unite Christians who have not yet found their soul mates. Once again, thank you for making the site and allowing me to find my other half. He truly makes my life better and I can’t wait to see how God uses us to bless others.
We decided to have a ChristianMingle wall to share our story in our reception area at our wedding. By doing this, we hoped to inspire others to find the love of their lives on the site. Our story, and wedding, will be the perfect opportunity to show others that the Lord can use anything and anyone, including ChristianMingle to lead you to the mate that He has handpicked for you.
