This year, Believe.com is launching its “I’m a Believer” campaign, celebrating some of the newest Christian leaders on our team of contributors who are committed to sharing their faith and advice.

By clicking on their photos, you can get to know them better through their testimonies and bios. Jarrid Wilson recently joined the Believe.com team of contributors and would like to share with you his testimony of why he believes in Jesus Christ and loves to share his faith with the Believe community …

I grew up in a loving and Godly home, but never accepted Jesus as my Lord and personal Savior. Although I looked like a happy and fulfilled person on the outside, the darkness of depression and insecurities tormented me from the inside out.

I knew God loved me, but I never took the opportunity to personally know him as my Father in heaven. It wasn’t until I was 18 years old that God grabbed ahold of my life and I realized that my life was nothing without Him.

I’m a believer because God gave me a second chance when I didn’t deserve one. I don’t deserve the love of God, but I am so blessed and fortunate to hear that He loves me regardless. Although we will all fall short compared to His glory, we must realize that God Himself is looking for progression rather than perfection. I couldn’t believe that God loved me for who I was, despite the darkness of my past mistakes.

God sent His son to die on a cross for my mistakes. If that doesn’t show that He loves me, I don’t know what else will.

I contribute to Believe.com because it’s such an incredible community of people to gather where you can find media and content … people you can relate to who you can share your history and your past and what God is doing in your life right now. And to me, that’s the Church. That’s the Body of Christ. It’s what God’s called us to be among one another. So I can encourage you to embrace God, embrace Jesus, and follow your relationship with Him.
