Can I ever know for sure, deep down in that private vulnerable place in my heart—the one I keep hidden from everyone—that I am worthy?

Worthy of someone’s love and attention? Worthy of their time and emotional investment? Worthy of forgiveness when I fail time and time again?

How hard do I have to work, making myself over again and again, to deserve any of that?

Don’t you just love amazing revelations?

I do.

When Jesus laid down His life for me, He stamped Worthy inside my heart for all time. Nothing else needs to be done. I am worthy of His Ultimate Sacrifice! And if I am worthy of His death, I AM WORTHY of the life He has given me.

And because I didn’t do anything to earn it or deserve it, He has removed the pressure to keep on the good face, the game face, the mask. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV).

All I have to do is fall at His feet. Which is a privilege. An honor. Never a duty. Realizing how He has made me worthy makes me want to shout, “I love you Jesus!”

Here is my prayer, taken from Ephesians 1:17-19. “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. (Ephesians 1:17-23 NIV).

Once God has stamped Worthy on your heart, you’ll never be the same.
