How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!
I received a message from Gina on ChristianMingle on March 30, 2014 saying, “I am new at this, but I couldn’t help saying, Hi! What’s your name?” That was it! Our first date was the following Saturday. We met at La Tuna, a restaurant near Gina’s home. I was thinking I would meet her for about an hour. We ordered drinks and appetizers. We hardly touched the appetizers. We spent the whole time talking and then we took a walk on the San Antonio River. We ended up spending five hours together.

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
I pretty much knew from the get go. Gina was great! She was fun and so easy to talk to. We would talk many nights until 3 or 4 in the morning. I lived three hours away, but I spent most weekends in San Antonio with Gina and our kids. Gina was showing her friends my picture and telling them, “This might be the one.”

What advice would you give other ChristianMingle members?
Don’t try and make it happen. Be real and authentic. Most importantly, pray for the kind of person you are looking for. He or she is out there.

  1. I met the love of my life, she set a new standard by her character integrity, love for God every thing about her felt natural, just being with her, her beauty inside and out, she made life full and alive. Now just short of a year, I guess I’m not the love of her life! Was I wrong, or just the wrong one? I better understand the phrase, I gave my heart away and never got it back.

    1. I am going through the same thing with a man i wanted to be with for thr rest of my life. Those were the best nine months i had for s long time. Then all of a sudden at Christmas, he could not introduce me as his girlfriend. And we were supposed to go out for NewYears to the dance where we met. He needed a break he said. It is sooo hurtful and devastating. I ask myself the same questions. We need to stay strong
