How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!
Kyle had just finished his one-month ChristianMingle membership and had decided not to renew; he just was not having any luck, so to speak. I had just purchased a six-month membership (figured I would have fun and meet some people and not have any pressure). I signed up on August 18, 2013 and within a few hours, Kyle sent me an email (apparently he still had access to his account!). I replied to him and we chatted back and forth a few times, then went to messaging. I think what really impressed me right off was that he made sure to let me know that he was traveling and would be out of service for a few hours (we had only known each other for less than 24 hours!) so as to not cause me to wonder, which I thought was such a sweet gesture. Kyle and I lived 90 miles away from each other, and each of us have three kids. So finding a time to meet took about a month, but we texted, talked and instant messaged pretty much non-stop from the moment we met online. It was very sweet! Our first date, like I said, was about a month into our “relationship;” Kyle came to my town after work and we drove out to the lake and enjoyed a burger and checked out the area. It was very simple.

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
Looking back on our early emails and text messages, I recently commented to Kyle that it was pretty clear we had fallen in love early on. It was just so easy and sweet and real. And we had this common desire to be in relationship with our Creator, which gave us so much more to have in common. Kyle has a great sense of humor, and I think he is impressed with mine as well. He makes me laugh like I have never laughed before! People have told me over the last 3.5 years that they have never seen me so happy and love seeing my true smile!

He told me he loved me while we were baking Christmas cookies the weekend before our first Christmas. I had gotten pretty emotional over the simplicity and joy of the moment we were sharing and ended up in tears, and that’s when he hugged me and said, “I just love you so much!” We fully believe that God meant for us to be together. We also know that God needed us to be who we are now in order to fully appreciate and love each other the way we do.

What advice would you give other ChristianMingle members?
It’s hard for me to say be patient, as I met Kyle within hours of signing up. But I received this beautiful poem from another gentleman on CM who was just offering kind and supportive words. The title of the Poem is “Be Satisfied with Me.” It talks about being satisfied and completely content with God first and foremost. That was so special for me. I shared it with Kyle on our first Valentine’s Day. I would say what we have both talked about is that God’s timing IS perfect. We would not have as good of a relationship or marriage had we found each other in a different part of our lives. God didn’t have us ready for each other yet.
