We met on ChristianMingle.com on June of last year. I joined the site a year before and eventhough I met some wonderful people, I felt I had not yet met my soul mate. Little did I know what God had in store for me.

One day I was looking at my home page and I saw Tony for the first time. He had an incredible smile, which compelled me to read his profile. I took the first step and sent him an email; luckily, he emailed me soon after. After exchanging various emails, we decided to talk on the phone. As soon as we started talking, it became evident God had his Hand on our relationship.

We wanted to know everything about one another and were so open to sharing our lives and experiences with each other. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well we clicked. We talked on the phone every day after work that first month! We felt we had a lifetime of catching up to do.

At the beginning of July, we finally set a date to meet for dinner. We felt we had really gotten to know each other during that first month, and knew in our hearts we were ready to take the next step. When God’s hand is upon something everything becomes seamless.

I remember having butterflies in my stomach-I was so excited to finally meet him! He later told me he felt the same way. When we finally saw each other for the first time, we had a beautiful embrace and neither of us seemed to want to let each other go. The day we met was a wonderful moment in both of our lives. We had a beautiful courtship and fell deeply in love, as the months progressed.

We both knew we had finally met our best friend and soul mate. So much so that Tony proposed to me on September of last year! We were married on January 6th of this year.

It’s amazing to think that eventhough we are both in our fifties, we were able to find one’s soul mate and fall in love at this time in our lives-God has truly blessed us in so many ways.

We know the best part of our lives is yet to come, now that we have found each other. Christianmingle.com was the vehicle God used to bring us together, and we are so thankful!
