On March of last year, I met Cynthia on ChristianMingle.com. We both lived in different states, but had felt an immediate connection. When we exchanged phone numbers, we ended up talking for two-three hours every night! I couldn’t believe how well we got along! After about two weeks of talking on the phone, we decided to meet in person. We met on a rainy spring day, but we had fun anyway. During our date, we both knew that we wanted to see each other again. Within the next several months, we worked our schedules to be with each other as much as possible.

After our daily conversations over the phone, we would pray together. Last June, when praying together, I asked that God would speak to us through a dream and that very night, I dreamt about our wedding reception. On that very weekend, I went on a mission trip meeting in St. Louis and met up with Cynthia in Springfield. I knew she was the one, and so a few weeks prior, I had talked to her dad, and he given me his blessing for me to propose. As I anxiously waited to meet up with Cynthia, I prayed for God’s guidance on how I should propose to her.

We had found a flower garden park and sat down to talk. It was in the height of summer and I was getting very impatient. But I finally got down on one knee and asked Cynthia to marry me. After she said “yes,” I felt pure joy and relief!

We have prayed about every aspect of our relationship and continually ask the Lord to show us what He wants us to do with our lives. Now that we are getting married we wanted to make sure our decisions were aligned with God’s will. We didn’t know where we would live, who would relocate, or what jobs we would have, but we knew that the Lord brought us together and He would help us work through our uncertainties. I have since moved to Brentonville and Cytnhia has started working at Pea Ridge.

God has helped and continues to bless us every step of the way- We seek and trust Him to do wonderful things in our new lives as we walk in obedience with Him.

Thank you ChristianMingle for helping us find each other. Please pray for us as we desire to honor God in our lives. It has been an exciting journey so far and we know that God has great plans for us.
