Paul and I met on ChristianMingle on August 7, 2010. I had been on the site for a while, in addition to some other sites, and was almost at the point where I was going to take a break and see what else the Lord had in store for me that didn’t involve online dating! Paul signed up on ChristianMingle at the beginning of August and sent me a smile on the 7th. I was instantly intrigued with him because he mentioned that he had two children, only one of which lived with him.

For a strange reason, I felt instantly as if something were different about him. I emailed him back that same night and we started emailing back and forth and talking online. We met for our first date on August 20th in Seattle.  It was the best first date either of us had ever been on. We both just instantly felt comfortable and “at home” with each other. It was like nothing either of us had experienced before, so we knew and were confident that this was a gift straight from God.

We lived about an hour away from each other, but we made sure to talk, text or chat online almost every day. On Christmas Eve, Paul proposed. We spent the next six months planning our wedding and getting to know each other even better. We continually praised God for sending us to each other.

On June 10, 2011 we joined our lives together in front of friends and family. We went on our honeymoon to Jamaica and are enjoying the start of our marriage. We are putting our house together and spending time becoming a family with his two awesome kids. They call me Cinnamom. (My name is Cinnamon).

Even though we haven’t even known each other for a year yet, we have every confidence that this relationship is the one we have both waited patiently for. We laugh together and support each other in a way that we never thought was possible. Even though we know we will have many struggles and hurdles to overcome in our future, we know we can handle anything together since our union is one blessed by the Lord.
