Caroline and I feel as if the Lord brought us together and made us for each other in so many ways. We both love the Lord, have very similar interests, and we both are pursuing careers to help people. I’m a Special Ed. Teacher in a middle school and Caroline is a Physician Assistant in Urgent Care. We met on ChristianMingle and we realize we probably never would have met otherwise, even though we lived just 50 minutes apart. In our first few email exchanges, there was an instant connection. I told Caroline that I just returned from visiting my cousins in Chattanooga, Tennessee where I rode my cousin’s horse that week. Caroline loves horses and was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. After exchanging emails for several weeks, we started to talk on the phone. We talked for 3, 4, or even 5 hours at a time on those phone calls. We already were building a strong friendship. After a couple of weeks of phone conversations, we decided to meet in person.
We met on our first date for lunch at a local restaurant. We both knew from the very beginning that we had so much in common and that we made each other laugh easily. We both love God, our families, friends, animals, and the outdoors and instantly connected as soon as we met. I remember both of us barely touching our food during those two hours of that glorious spring afternoon. I was supposed to be at work that afternoon, but I was thirty minutes late because I didn’t want to leave her. I had actually sprained my ankle the week before playing basketball, and Caroline examined my ankle for me and gave me her medical opinion. She was already taking good care of me and was an absolute sweetheart. Before we left, I told her that she had the bluest eyes I had ever seen. It truly was “Love at First Sight” for me. From then on, Caroline and I embarked on a special relationship that has been a blessing from God for both of us. We are getting married on June 29, 2013 in Greenville, SC and are very excited about our life together ahead!
