After both trying several other dating sites with no results, Philip and I began communicating on ChristianMingle in February of 2013. Within minutes of communicating, we both shared that we wanted to establish a friendship before anything else. This was very important to both of us as we had experienced several broken relationships in the past.

On March 2nd, we decided to meet in person for dinner with the mindset to build a strong friendship that would last, even if we never ended up taking it any further.  The rest, you could say, is history.  When we met face-to-face, we hugged each other and both instantly felt a connection.  It’s impossible to explain the other emotions that overtook us besides elation, joy, excitement, and a sense of coming home.  Since that day, we have been inseparable and every kiss is like the first, but better.  We are so much alike and have so much in common.  We finish each other’s sentences and thoughts; it’s almost like we have been two halves of one soul all these years and God finally brought us together. 

Philip and I were married on June 22, 2013 before our kids, parents, and siblings.  Our marriage is nothing short of miraculous and every day we thank the Lord above for all that He blesses us with.  We have five children between the two of us, and they get along so well you’d think they had been friends forever.  Our first moments before God as husband and wife were the most amazing moments either one of us has ever witnessed.  It was almost like a warm blanket of sunshine was laid over our shoulders.  We are truly blessed and love to tell people about our story.  Our relationship gives other people hope.  They see us around town holding hands, kissing, staring into each other’s eyes, laughing, and hugging.  We live life to the fullest, and most importantly, together.
