How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!

I sent Daniel a smile and he responded to me very quickly saying, “Well, a beautiful smile from a beautiful woman. I shall return the favor. Hi, how are you?” His response made me laugh and after talking for
a day, we were eager to meet. He lived in Louisiana while I lived in Texas. The next day Daniel drove for 6 1/2 hours to come and meet me. The moment he stepped out of his car I knew something was different about him. It was as if I was meeting someone I had known my whole life. He met my mom that night, we went out to Chili’s and saw the “Minions” movie. The whole theater was empty so we had time to talk during the movie as well. That night Daniel asked me to be his girlfriend. I told him no because I had another date lined up for the next day. I ended up talking to him right before I went on my date, texted him during and called him after. I was absolutely crazy for him. One week later he drove back and we had another date and that time when he asked, I said yes. A month after that, he moved to Texas to be close to me and after seven months of dating, he proposed to me.

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!

Honestly, I was smitten from the start. We met on September 2, 2015, and became official on September 9, 2015. It seems so crazy that in one week you could fall in love, but that seems to be what happened for us. The day we became official was also the day we expressed our love for each other. There was no certain moment that I knew I was in love with Daniel; I knew from the moment I met him that he would be the one. And in August 2016, I will be marrying him.

What advice would you give other ChristianMingle members?

Be prepared for anything and don’t give up. There will be people that will message you that aren’t what you’re looking for. There will also be some that you meet that you fall for, but they may not be the best for you. They may have too much baggage. They may talk to you in a way you don’t like, etc. Don’t settle because you will find the one God made for you.
