How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!
I saw the ChristianMingle commercial, and to be honest, I questioned if the site would even work. I have to admit I was a little skeptical, but decided to give it a try. The day I created my account, I got a lot of messages, sparks, smiles, etc., but none of those messages caught my eye.

The next day, I got a message saying that D.Fernandez sent me a spark. I opened my profile and there he was! I clicked on his name and started reading his profile. I was really interested by how he described himself. I decided to send him a spark back. I had only been on ChristianMingle for two days!

From there, it lead to messaging back and forth, and after two weeks of texting, we decided to finally meet in person. As we prepared to go our first date, I was nervous and very excited to finally meet the guy I have been texting with. We met at a Starbucks, when I first saw him all I thought it was “YES! He is real.” We talked for a good seven hours and after he walked me to my car, we hugged and said goodbye to one another. As I was just getting home, I got a text from him saying he was home and that he had a wonderful time. We texted for a few more hours and we finally had to say goodnight. The following week, we continued to see each other and that is where our story began. We both stopped using ChristianMingle because we knew we had a connection right away.

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
The first time we said I love you, I was the first one to say it. It was a very funny story because we had been texting and I meant to text him “thinking of you” in pager code 823, but I accidentally texted him code 143 which means “I love you!” I already had strong feelings, I just didn’t want to seem “pushy”. As soon as I sent the text, I noticed I had sent “I love you” and he replied with “I love you too,” so I guess it all worked out.

Three years later, we got engaged on June 7, 2016, the day of my birthday and, coincidentally, our three-year anniversary. Now we are planning our wedding and I just couldn’t be happier. I fully advise people to give it a try. God works in very mysterious ways. God knows what your heart desires and he will place that one person in your life when you least expect it. I would encourage people to have faith and let God do the work. He will lead you to the right person.
