The number one tactic the enemy uses against human beings is fear. Fear has tremendous power when we relinquish control of our mind. It is crippling, with deadly consequences.

The Bible tells believers to fight the good fight of faith. While Satan is relentless, tempting us with fear from every angle, we have the power to stand. The following are my top 8 Scriptures for fighting fear. They feature as full devotions in my book,Expecting Daily Pregnancy Devotion, but they are not just for pregnant women. They apply to us all.

Whether you face a negative medical report, a broken relationship, a rebellious child, or financial distress, refuse anxiety. Fight fear. Stand on the promises. The Lord will help you.

Deuteronomy 31:6 – “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

Psalm 23:4 – Even when I walkthrough the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.

Psalm 27:1 – The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?

Isaiah 41:10 – Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Luke 1:30 – “Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God!”

Luke 8:50 (KJV) - But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.

Hebrews 13:6 – So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”

Revelation 1:17 – When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last.”

Do not be afraid. You have favour with God. He will uphold you. He is your light, personally going before. Direct every ounce of energy to only believe. Jesus has the last word in your life, not fear.

Be amazing.
