I met Ashli on ChristianMingle. We actually spoke for a couple of months before meeting in person because we both lived in New Mexico, about 3 hours away from one another. When meeting up, we decided to see each other for the weekend and things went very well. Sparks were flying and needless to say, I fell hopelessly in love with this woman!

During our third date, I found out that I would be deploying with the Air Force in July. We were completely crushed! I knew that I had found the woman of my dreams and yet I could not be with her. We pressed the pause button on our new relationship but we kept in very close contact while I was away. We knew we were going to be with each other for quite some time, and so we started to plan for our future while I was overseas.

After I returned from my tour in Iraq in December 2011, I proposed. I had found the woman I wanted to be with for the rest of my life! When I first came home, Ashli had no idea that I was returning so soon. With some help from our families, I was stuffed into a box for my “surprise” proposal. They went on to pretend that she received a package in the mail from me. Ashli proceeded to open the box and low and behold, I sprang out! She was overwhelmed with joy! I then got down on one knee and officially proposed to her.

Ashli and I were married on February 3, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada on the top of the Stratosphere! It was breathtaking. We have had so many exciting memories and everything was perfect! Thanks, ChristianMingle!
