I moved back home after graduating at The Pennsylvania State University in the summer of August 2010, and felt that I was ready to start dating. I saw a commercial on TV advertising ChristianMingle.
I ended up signing up and went on dates with a few guys, but realized they weren’t a good fit for me. I ended up feeling defeated and eventually got off for about a year or two till one day I felt like I needed to randomly get on to see who was out there. Around the end of July 2014, I noticed Dan’s profile picture. For some reason I ended up sending him a smiley face and got a long email back from him. We ended up messaging a few times over ChristianMingle. One day he asked for my number and we talked every night and then eventually decided to meet.
We met on August 10, 2014, in Breezewood, PA, at a restaurant. We had a good time, but I didn’t feel like I had a connection in person like I did over the phone. I prayed on the way home and asked God if this wasn’t the man for me to please let me know somehow so I can move on.
A few days later on August 14, 2014, we ended up meeting again near Bedford, PA, and played tennis. I knew that day I was going to fall in love with him. We ended up getting together again on Labor Day weekend at Ross Park Mall and then ended up going to the Pirate game which is family and my family were going to be there as well. After the game we met up with each other again and met each other’s parents for the first time.
Since then we have been together every weekend and can’t stand being apart. On December 24, 2014, he asked me to marry him and on August 8, 2015 we were married! Thank you ChristianMingle; if it wasn’t for me joining again or emailing Dan back, telling him he can’t get his money back because he didn’t cancel his membership in the time of automatic withdrawal… we wouldn’t have found each other!!!
