Why do we love fast food? It’s because of its availability – the idea that the food will be immediately served upon request and payment.

Fast food outlets like Mr. Biggs, Tantalizer, provide good food at high prices. A bottle of soft drink will cost much more than it will be sold outside. The cost of a plate of fried rice and chicken can cook the same meal at home in a larger quantity. Here is the wisdom:

When you desire to take short cuts in life, when you desire instant gratification rather than delayed gratification, you’d pay MORE for it.

It always feels comfortable in a fast food outlet; the environment is cozy and all. Even when we choose to take short cuts in life, it looks enjoyable and quick and you begin to wonder why others are putting themselves through so much stress to get things done. Don’t be an instant success, follow the process.

When you follow the process, you’d have stories to tell the younger generation. There’s nothing spectacular or inspiring in the lives of those who cheat their way to success, or in those who defile themselves to get rich. Proverbs tells us that: “A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.” It says later that “He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.”

So be careful, follow the process. It might be hard but Stay true to it and in due time you will reach your expected end.

Central Truth: Don’t chase quick success. Follow the Process.

Focus Scripture: Proverbs 28:20, 22.

Prayer:
LORD, help me to be given to the process that births success in Jesus Name. Amen
