How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!
Matthew and I talked to each other on ChristianMingle on February 7, 2013 after my dad suggested that I give the site a chance. We were so excited to meet that we met each other the next day even though there was a snow storm. We met at a grocery store for dinner and I will never forget seeing him walk in. He later told me that he could tell by my face that I thought he was very cute! I loved talking to him and we felt so comfortable like we knew each other all of our lives. I just enjoyed being next to him. I told him that I could tell there was something different and special about him, and I will never forget it.
Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
I always believed in love at first sight, but never thought I would experience it. I knew as soon as I saw Matthew that we had met for a purpose and that it was part of God’s plan for us. Soon after we met, Matthew told me that he wanted to marry me and was saving for a ring. Matthew asked me to marry him in July 2013 and I could not have been happier! We got married on September 14, 2013. It was the best day of my life. Almost exactly one year after getting married, we were blessed with the birth of our son. Now after celebrating our three-year wedding anniversary, we have recently been blessed with the birth of our daughter.
What advice would you give other ChristianMingle members?
My advice to anyone using ChristianMingle or anyone thinking about using it would be to have faith in God’s plan for them. What He has in store for you is so much better than anything you can imagine for yourself. Never settle for anyone other than who God designed for you. I truly believe that God used ChristianMingle as a tool to bring us together. I love my husband and our life that we have built together more than anything this world has to offer. I cannot wait to see what else God has planned for our life together.
