We actually began emailing back and forth on ChristianMingle in June or July of 2011.  Jim even asked me to go to a Christian concert with him, and I declined.  I went off of the site and was off for quite some time. On January 26, 2013, I signed back up and we reconnected.  Jim had signed back up in the beginning of January, and was searching profiles.  While searching he said my profile popped up, as someone being in his area.  He was ecstatic and couldn’t believe I was back on site.  He smiled at me and then emailed me.  When I received them, I couldn’t believe it was him.  He was back on the site too?  I answered his email and we began chatting.  After a little while of emailing, he offered me his phone number for me to text him if I would like to. I believe I waited about a week and then I texted him one morning, to say “good morning.”  We began texting and finally decided to talk on the phone.  We talked for hours every day, and couldn’t get enough of learning about each other.  Our first official date was on February 15, 2013.  The rest, as they say, was history. 

On November 3, 2013, Jim, in front of my two children and his three children, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.  Of course, I said YES!!  He did an awesome job with the proposal, and I am so excited to be able to marry him on January 17, 2014.

I think ChristianMingle was successful for us because we were both looking for similar things. The most important thing is that God allowed us to meet each other, and He had a plan for us with ChristianMingle being the tool that he used to bring us together.  Thank-you, ChristianMingle! We are extremely happy and are really looking forward to starting our lives together.
